Finding a good bag for all your gear is almost as important as picking the right pair of pants. Too big, and you have too much extra room and extra weight. Too small, and you will not be able to fit anything. Just like pants, there isn’t just one pair for every occasion and there isn’t a backpack for every need. Like good pair of pants, there is going to be one that you will want to wear every day. So let me introduce to you the backpack that I currently use every day. Better known for their Cocoon GRID IT organizing sleeves, Cocoon has released an innovative backpack that combines a slim form factor and their grid elastic organizing approach. A well constructed backpack made with water-resistant ballistic nylon and waterproof zippers. The backpack has three compartments – one for laptop and/or a full size tablet, the GRID IT compartment, and one zipper pocket in the front; good for storing wires and charging block. The laptop section is suede lined with a good layer or padding to keep the laptop protected from outer environments. The neat part is the GRID IT compartment, has a hard board that the elastics stay on and also double as a protection for the laptop. So if you happen to drop your bag on one of its corners, it will hit the surrounding corner of the board instead of your laptop. You can fit a laptop that is 15 inches or less in the laptop pocket and a full size tablet in the tablet sleeve in front of it. I was able to fit a 15 inch Macbook Pro Retina along with an iPad...
Read MoreOn the hottest day (so far) of this year, I decided to test out my new lens, the Carl Zeiss 24mm f1.8 Sonnar. Such a beautiful and sharp lens that really can compare to nicer and higher end lenses such of those of Leica and others. The 24mm prime lens is equivalent in focal length to a 36mm which makes this the perfect length street photography. With aperture down to f1.8 makes this lens great for low light shots and that nice creamy bokeh look. Replacing my 30mm sigma from my bag, this has become my favorite lens to shoot with. Check out some of the photos below! Camera: Sony Nex-6 Lens: Carl Zeiss 24mm F.18 Sonnar Location: San Francisco/Pier 39/Ferry Building...

Read More“No man needs a vacation so much as the man who has just had one.” Spring is here and summer is around the corner. Statistics shows 55% of Americans are planning to travel this year; a 10% increase compared to last year. It really shows our economy is starting to turn around. With that being said, flights will also increase by 5-10% compared to last year’s ticket prices. If you’re planning to be a part of the 55%, here are a few tips to help you save some time and a few extra bucks you could be spending elsewhere. 1. Timing is key Booking your flights a few weeks earlier prior to your trip has always been standard in saving big money, and is still the best way to save money on your flight. But do you know what days in the week are best to save you an extra 5% off your flight? If you said Tuesday or Wednesday morning, you’re incorrect (granted, Tuesdays and Wednesday are still better than Monday and Thursday). Airlines are now recognizing the norm and has change the game up and are now pushing better deals onto weekends. This gives airlines a better edge against other competitions and every airlines and travel agencies will eventually catch up to this. So now you can avoid losing sleep on those early mornings trying to book a cheaper flight. 2. Lighter load, lighter on the pocket One day, we will be able to tell the younger generations the good old days when checking in your two 65lb luggage was free. Yes, FREE. As of present, domestic airlines are charging an average of $25 dollars (average...
Read MoreAhhh, Push it! iDevices are great. Over 60% of media are now consumed on Tablets and smartphones. I tend to baby all my electronics, but even then, I occasionally get an incredible annoying problem with my all devices. And that is the “stuck home button”. If you always had an iPhone since day one like me, you’ve probably run into this problem before. If you’re lucky and your device is still under warranty, you can always take it back to Apple and they’ll replace it. But if you’re not under warranty, here is a simple, 3 step process, to getting it fixed. Here we go! Things you will need: Rubbing Alcohol (70%) in the form of liquid or cleaning pad. Q-tip (if you don’t have the cleaning pad) Step 1 Power down your device by holding down the power button. Slide to power off. Step 2 Take the alcohol cleaning pad OR Q-tip with a bit of alcohol at the tip and swirl it around the Home button. Press it about a few times. Step 3 Repeat steps 2 and 3, three-four times. Power on and you’re done! This should help you save a few bucks and a lot of effort in trying to replace a home button. Let me know if this works for you in the comment...
Read MoreBig power in small package Something I tend to collect are battery packs for my devices. I have about five 0r six different ones in different packs and even one on my keychain. Portable battery packs aren’t really something to get excited about, but I happened to come across one on Kickstarter that caught my attention. The product is called Dark Energy Reservoir; praised mainly for the size and the power capacity it can hold, which is a whopping 8000mAh with the same dimension as an iPhone 4. Let me translate 8000mAh for you: it can charge your iPhone 5 five times before dying, or your iPad Mini 1.5 times. I have two Morphie Juice Pack that are roughly about the same size and only holds half the power. Also comes with two USB charging port that can charge two devices at the same time. Another bonus is the battery pack can hold it’s charge up to one year before needing another boost. You can back this project HERE. Price: $69 ...

“It’s a small world after all!”
I remember visiting Disneyland as a child and never really understood what made Disney so great. We came to Disneyland for a family trip. At the time, there was no fast pass, and no way of getting to the ride without a one-two hour line (summer time does this affect on the lines). Even the kiddy rides were at least 30 minutes. The only ride I can remember going on was Space Mountain and that is because I remember nearly dying on it(with fear of course). My only feelings then for the whole trip was never wanting to come back.
